Imagine a woman who moves and leaves the person who succeeds her a letter and some objects. Then the next one does the same, thus initiating a strange tradition. Quand ça commence explores the love, hopes and disappointments of several generations of women, what makes desire rise and die, and how stories are passed on, lost and shared. It is an adventure to live alone in an uninhabited house. But not abandoned.

At the time of the move, we sort our lives. What do we leave of our loves, our orgasms and our tears in a house that we leave?

Company presentation

De chair et d'os creates site-specific projects. After overseeing the Chahuts festival in Bordeaux (Fr) for twelve years, its artistic director, Caroline Melon has presented hybrid, multi-faceted and unique art projects. Although her productions take on a variety of forms (performances, exhibitions, participatory installations, territorial projects),
Caroline Melon is one of the artists of the european public space network In Situ. She was associated artist to Le Grand T (Nantes/Fr) for 4 years and De chair et d'os is now associated company to Le Fourneau et Le Quartz (Brest/Fr).

Alone, through rooms and objects not yet packed: diary, letters, telephones... I discovered the contemporary love stories of six women of different generations, who all lived in this house. Their trajectories still haunt me several days later.
