Histoire de la violence

Edouard is making his way home from a Christmas dinner when he is approached by Reda, a young Kabyle. Mesmerized by each other, the two young men spend the night together in Edouard’s apartment. Suddenly the situation escalates: at gunpoint, Edouard is insulted, strangled and raped. A year later, back in his hometown in Picardy, he confides in his sister Clara, who then tells her husband the facts. Hidden, Edward listens to his own story being told.

Under the harsh lights, Laurent Hatat and Emma Gustafsson draw from the sensitive polyphony of the story, staging a vertiginous piece.  A show that engages body and soul.
