KAROLINE HJORTH
As part of the Pavilions for the Future
Since 2011, Karoline Hjorth has produced nearly 60 portraits of senior citizens from ten countries. Among them, we discover paratroopers, fishermen, farmers, opera singers… The costumes (created by Riitta Hjorth) resemble sculptures made of natural materials.
Eyes as Big as Plates shows elderly people in total harmony with nature. The pictures testify to a possible harmony between man and nature and pay a beautiful tribute to the fourth age.
