Una Bestia

Romain Dubois is a composer and musician who has been evolving for many years at the crossroads of a variety of disciplines.
He has worked with contemporary dance companies such as Tango Sumo and the Accrorap company directed by Kader Attou, and has also composed for the circus, notably for Foutoir Céleste by Cirque Exalté, as well as for the group Fleuves. More recently, he has devoted himself to his solo piano project, Una Bestia.
Over the years, he has experimented with the link between music and the body in a wide variety of fields, from contemporary dance to traditional dance and the circus, before questioning himself as a musician with his solo piano.
The question of trance and overcoming through repetition is one of the major axes of his work.
Over the years, he has also worked on a number of different commissions, from music to image, advertising (Nespresso, Lidl...) for monumental mapping shows (Spectaculaires) or the Architectural Sonar Works project with Cedric Brandilly.
His work over the years has been presented hundreds of times in France, at Jazz à Vienne, Les Vieilles Charrues, Les Transmusicales, the Philharmonie de Paris, the Festival d'Aurillac, Châlon dans la Rue and Sotteville, and internationally in Quebec, Seoul, London, Vienna, Ostrava, Belgrade, Tunis, Glasgow and Lausanne.
