Señora Tentación

Toujours après minuit

Señora Tentación

Brigitte Seth et Roser Montlló Guberna

In a block of flats, or more precisely in the lobby of a block of flats, two women, busy with their respective occupations, keep bumping into each other, colliding, looking at each other, brushing past each other, losing each other and finding each other again. One is a cleaning lady, the other a concierge. Little do they know that they are scrupulously hiding their love. Yet they live it, and celebrate it two days a month…

Señora Tentación pays tribute to this generation and those that preceded it, to the political struggles of the feminist and LGBTQIA+ movements, but also to the courage of our mothers and aunts, to their tenacity, their cunning, their fervent hope of living love for love, whatever the cost.

There is no greater joy than to hide, and no greater misfortune than not to be discovered. - William Somerset Maugham

About the compagny - Toujours après minuit

Brigitte Seth and Roser Montlló Guberna have been working together on theatrical research as artistic directors of Toujours après minuit since 1996. They are directors, authors, playwrights, choreographers and performers. Their research focuses on languages and generations. They bring together different artistic languages (theater, dance, music) and several languages (French, Spanish, Catalan). As Brigitte and Roser's two cultures fully coexist, these different languages are complementary, in harmony.

In the press

It's dance theater, where bodies in movement express as much as words chosen from the epidermis. Señora Tentación expresses the intensity of what unites these two women, loving each other, the fact that there's no age limit to yearning for each other, no sexual orientation required, the mystery of the magnetization of bodies and the way they ignite

Marie Plantin - Sceneweb

With their characteristic gentle madness and tender complicity, the two performer-choreographers flesh out Marie Dilasser's erotically suggestive text. Buoyed by Hispanic music and the warm voice of Chavela Vargas, Roser Montlló Guberna and Brigitte Seth take to the stage and turn prejudices on their head.

L'œil d'Olivier

While Señora Tentación pays tribute to the courage of women of past generations, the show is also a beautiful way of showing the lesbian relationship where it touches us: in the palpitation of life.

Arts-chipels

Their show is strong yet delicate, funny yet moving, melancholy yet joyful.
