Je voudrais parler de Duras

Julien Derivaz, Katell Daunis

Yann Andréa, attentive reader and fervent admirer of Duras’s work, became his companion for several years. Together, they developed an unbearable and yet extraordinary relationship, shattering the categories between fiction and reality, acceptance and submission, love and domination. He then attempts, for the first time, to talk about himself, about them, in a long confession in which he reveals himself.

Through a subtle mise en abyme and delicate acting, Katell Daunis and Julien Derivaz bring back to life a word that has often fallen into obscurity. That of a man who, out of love for a fiction, accepts the improbable. It is with modesty, passion, but also lucidity that Yann Andréa confides. Her words are tightrope-walking, as the themes she addresses are dizzying:

Can we prefer art to personal development ? Can we prefer to live in fiction rather than in reality ? Where does acceptance begin and where does domination begin ? What do we call love ?

While the Bajours offered a superb choral show with A l’Ouest last July, Julien Derivaz and Katell Daunis are undertaking an intimate turn this year. Favorite performer of the most exciting scenes involving dance and singing, the actor, founding member of the collective, appears more tormented here, revealing a performance of great sensitivity.

Un moment suspendu avec beaucoup de délicatesse. Un bien bel hommage à l'amant de l'ombre.

A moment suspended with great delicacy. A beautiful tribute to the lover of the shadows. A moment suspended with great delicacy. A beautiful tribute to the lover of the shadows.
