Inavouable

Alexis HK & Benoît Dorémus

Two artists are backstage.
They are quietly preparing to go on stage.
They speak to each other respectfully, in exaggeratedly affable tones. They address each other in formal tone.
They talk about current affairs, life, their lives, they know each other well.
They enjoy the calm of this protected space, these precious, intimate moments.
They allow themselves to ramble, to lose their way, to talk nonsense.
They improvise ditties, looking for the right rhyme or word to make each other laugh, to surprise each other.
They allow themselves what they shouldn’t, navigating between indecency, poetry and self-mockery.
They free themselves from the decorum they might feel in front of an audience. There’s no better way to get rid of stage fright.
Two artists in their dressing room, diving into the unmentionable with relish.

Benoît Dorémus - singer-songwriter

Benoît Dorémus is a French singer-songwriter born in 1980. He began performing in Parisian café-concerts in 2003. Renaud covered one of his songs, "Rien à te mettre", and produced his album "Jeunesse se passe" (2007). The single "J'écris faux, je chante de la main gauche" brought him to the attention of a wider audience.
In 2010, he released the album "2020", marked by the single "Bilan carbone". In 2011, the "Seuls à trois" tour was an opportunity to mix his repertoire with that of his friends Renan Luce and Alexis HK. In 2015, Benoît Dorémus set up his own label to record the album "En Tachycardie", and went on tour with Francis Cabrel, for whom he opened shows. He has also worked with Maxime Le Forestier, Aldebert, Ours, Oldelaf, Benabar and Clio.
