Fièvre Humaine

Fièvre Humaine

Zaza Fournier

Like an attempt to reconcile the great fire outside with the small flame inside. How can we let our inner paths take shape when torment is at our window ? How do we deal with the infinitely large absurdity of the world in the infinitely small of our lives ?

Guided by her need to loose herself to music, Zaza Fournier searches with us for an authentic place, a place to leave what the world makes of us : agitated, violent, powerless beings, yet so alive.

Keyboards, a pulse, a voice. With pop-literary writing, synthetic textures and transcendental songs, Fièvre Humaine is a dense, restless, physical and poetic form. A live research with the spectator to access oneself in the clamour of the world.

Like an attempt to reconcile the great fire outside with the small flame inside.

Zaza Fournier - Songs and lyrics

We first met Camille Fournier, aka Zaza, as a young girl with a mischievous freshness when she released her eponymous debut album in 2008, then as a neo-yéyé amazone a few years later with Regarde-moi, released like her previous album by Warner Music France. In 2015, she joined MajiKer on her third album, Le Départ (Le Rat des Villes / Verycords), as an expert in the poetry of the little things, and we could already sense the furious desire to shift borders, codes and definitions.

In 2025, we meet up again with Zaza, and Camille, for whom this album is a major work. The album is produced as a trio by Jack Lahana,
Pierre-François Blanchard, a highly sensitive pianist, and Zaza Fournier. The particular attention paid to the production of the vocals, combined with the plurality of the keyboards, all driven by a profoundly organic power, make this a strikingly modern album, containing a number of nuggets, rare pearls that could well develop obsessions in the listener.

Fièvre Humaine is undoubtedly Zaza Fournier's best album, and leaves us with a feverish desire to see the artist back on her favourite stage.

Mathieu Penot - Drums, keyboards

Mathieu Penot, drummer, is a former student of the jazz class at the CRR in Reims. After studying with Manu Pékar, he continued his training at the CNSM in Paris, and in recent years has pursued a career in both jazz and more pop-rock projects (Yom, David Lynx...).

Pierre-François Blanchard - Keyboards

After making an impressive debut on the French scene with the boNObo-trio (2011) and in the Netherlands with his Azure quartet (2010), he became Pierre Barouh's pianist (2012), accompanying him for the last five years of his concerts.

He met Marion Rampal, with whom, alongside Anne Paceo, he recorded her album "Main Blue" (2017), followed by their duo "Le Secret", with guests Archie Shepp and Raul Barboza (2019). They created the children's show "l'Ile aux Chants Mêlés" (2021), and recorded "Tissé" - vocal artist at the Victoires du Jazz (2022).
He joins Archie Shepp in his quartet (2016), the Art Songs and Sprituals ensemble (2018), and the "There is Love" quartet (2021).
He collaborates with Raphaël Imbert, with whom he records 'Music Is My Hope' - an unclassifiable album at the Victoires du Jazz (2019), then 'Invisible Stream' (Harmonia Mundi - 2023), an improvised music quartet with
Jean-Guihen Queyras and Sonny Troupe. In 2022 he joined the 'Poetic Ways' quintet with Celia Kameni, Anne Paceo and Pierre Fénichel.
Sandra Nkake and Jî Dru invited him to take part in "Tribe From The Ashes" (2020), "Fantômes" (2022) and "Poems for Dance" (2025).

Zaza Fournier invites him to create a duo concert (2021-2023). He co-produced the album "Fièvre Humaine" with her and Jack Lahana (2025).

#puzzled, her first album as a duo with Thomas Savy, was released on 2 February 2024. The album was unanimously acclaimed by the press, and nominated at the Victoires Jazz awards in the "Best New Album" category.
