Decolonize the dancefloor

Sorcières&Cie was created in 2020 under the impetus of Véronique Felenbok, to support and accompany artistic projects in theater, dance and circus.
The company's shows are committed to contemporary society, questioning its issues and mechanisms. With a particular focus on the status of women and minorities in general, Sorcières&Cie explores transmission, philosophical and political tensions, and questions of representation on stage, through the various artists and shows it accompanies.

Habibitch is a multi-disciplinary artist, choreographer, writer, performer, activist and sociology researcher in her spare time.
Born in Algeria and living in Paris, she occupies a central position in queer, feminist and anti-racist circles in France and internationally.
Notably an influential member of the ballroom scene, Habibitch blends the codes of this culture with historical and political references in every aspect of her career.
Through her art, performances and speeches, she deconstructs norms of class, gender, sexuality and race, while reclaiming the intersections of her identity.
And by dancing them, politicizing her art and dancing her politics!
