You were very scared to go into year 7 and it ruined the summer holidays. And before you knew it, it was your first day and you weren’t scared anymore. That’s when the real problems started. There are a lot of people in year 7. That’s a lot of potential friends and foes. More importantly, it’s important to forge a good reputation. And then they tell you a girl in the class likes you. What now?
Why do we both need to reply my secret message? Because it's a secret message. The others need to know the answer.
Company presentation
Whether its audience is made up of adults or children, the plays of the Kairos company are hybrid and highly varied. Texts, music, songs and movement, all interact equally. David Lescot's words capture the questions that move us as a society, that place people in the most extreme situations. In this style of theatre, where text, music and movement intermingle, it's essential to close as closely with reality, to observe it, even if it means distorting it slightly to see it better.
David Lescot - Writer and director
David Lescot's work is published by Actes Sud. He directs plays and operas in France and abroad. An associate artist of the Theatre de la Ville de Paris et of the Théâtre de Villefranche-sur-Saône and published by Acted Sud, David Lescot was awarded the Molière for best newcomer in theatre in 2009 and the theatre prize of the SACD in 2015, and finally the prize for best French-language creation in 2018 awarded by the French Syndicat de la Critique.
